Four years after his disappearance, Travis, who was thought to be dead, turns up in a rocky desert near the Mexican border. A doctor informs his brother Walt, who takes the memory-less man into his house in LA. At Walt's house, Travis also meets his seven-year-old son Hunter, who has been living with his uncle since his parents separated. Hesitantly, Travis' memories return and his reserved son slowly begins to trust him. PARIS, TEXAS is considered Wenders' best-known and most successful film worldwide. Critically acclaimed, it won a number of important international awards, including the Palme d'Or in Cannes. The film was digitally edited in 2024 and the original 35mm negative was scanned in 4K at LImmagine Ritrovata in Bologna.
