Patrick Nederkoorn: Die orangene Gefahr - Die Holländer kommen

26.04.2025 is King's Day - the Dutch national holiday in honor of King Willem-Alexander. On this day, almost all Dutch people get a vacation. Many dress in orange, the color of the royal family, and celebrate nationwide with parades, folk festivals, concerts and other live events.

We celebrate on King's Day in the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr with Dutch cabaret artist Patrick Nederkoorn and his program "The Orange Danger".

What will happen when 17 million orange climate refugees roll into Germany with their caravans in the left lane due to rising sea levels? Will the Germans then be prepared to take in the much-loved Dutch?

"Die orangene Gefahr - Die Holländer kommen" is the first German-language program by Dutch cabaret artist Patrick Nederkoorn. The premiere was celebrated in spring 2022 at Haus der Springmaus in Bonn. It is an amusing and acerbic examination of the idiosyncrasies of our two nations and the topic of migration in climate change. The program was nominated for the Prix Pantheon and won the Obernburger Mühlstein, the Comedian Jackpot, the Silver Reinheimer Satire Lion and the Second Prize of the Tuttlinger Krähe.
