What will happen when 17 million orange-colored climate refugees roll into Germany in their caravans in the left lane due to rising sea levels? Will the Germans then be prepared to take in the much-loved Dutch?
"Die orangene Gefahr - Die Holländer kommen" is the first German-language performance by Dutch cabaret artist Patrick Nederkoorn. The program, which was created in collaboration with the Haus der Springmaus in Bonn, is an amusing and acerbic examination of the idiosyncrasies of our two nations and the topic of migration in the context of climate change.
Patrick Nederkoorn (1983) is a comedian from Amsterdam. He studied political science and attended theater school. He has also been performing in Germany since 2019. He had a celebrated appearance at the Prix Pantheon, won the Obernburger Mühlstein and was a guest on MDR's Olafs Klub (Olaf Schubert) several times.
Press reviews:
The Bonner General-Anzeiger wrote: "Indeed, Nederkoorn proves to be a strong comedian, excellent singer and born entertainer"
"It is clear (...) that Nederkoorn has mastered his first solo brilliantly - and will definitely be welcomed with open arms and hearty applause in Bonn."
Kreis Zeitung: "A crowd-puller"
