STADT LAND BUCH, the new children's and young adult book festival organized by the Junges Literaturhaus Frankfurt, is a guest at the German National Library: Paul Maar presents his novella "Lorna", Wolfgang Stute accompanies the reading with music.
"Lorna" is a touching novella about the first great love, the clash of sensitivity and incomprehension and the painful realization that what you thought was lost never really went away.
Paul Maar is one of the most successful German-language authors of books for children and young people. After around forty books and plays for young readers, S. Fischer published his "adult books" "Wie alles kam. Roman meiner Kindheit" and "Ein Hund mit Flügeln" were published by S. Fischer. Maar's work has been honored many times, including with the E. T. A. Hoffmann Prize and the Friedrich Rückert Prize. Several schools bear his name.
