Pick up the music - Funk & Soul

In the organizer's words:

"Pick up the music" is the revival of the funk-soul band around guitarist Romano Pirc with his long-time band colleagues Winfried Bochtler, Andreas Kandler and Gerhard Orth, which has been active in Munich for years. After the corona-related break, a breath of fresh air was brought in by singer Kerstin Frank, who has worked professionally for many years, Munich drummer Fredi Maul, all-rounder Sepp Schmölz, also known from Munich, and - last but not least - Peter Prestele on saxophone, who completes the brass section.

The band has put together songs from a wide variety of decades and covers some very well-known songs such as "Sunny" in rather unknown versions - with a lot of fun and great ease. Even long-forgotten classics such as "God Bless the Child" by Blood, Sweat & Tears and songs by the Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Amy Winehouse and Tina Turner promise a varied evening with plenty of groove, joy of playing and good live music.
