Pink Palace presents Pink Halloween

The TMD is finally turning back into the Pink Palace and opening up to queer pop culture. And that's not all: Halloween is also finally going pink again!

This year it will even be pink and spiritual! Historical letters were found in the TMD collection that tell of wild parties and encounters with the supernatural. These encounters with the supernatural form the starting point for the current edition of "Pink Palace presents Pink Halloween". You can have tarot cards read, make contact with the ghosts of Düsseldorf's theater history, mix strange healing potions or feel the queer powers of the supernatural at the altar.

To kick off the evening, queer performance artist Thomas Bartling presents his new pop alter ego after Leander Luft: flamboi&. His concert klinkloud is a wild journey through musical genres from pop hits to Eurodance. The lyrics are also personal. There are even surprise guests. And various costume changes. (And not too few of them.) What more could you want?

Throughout the evening, you can have your tarot cards read by Ray (note: access vouchers will be distributed at the performance concert) or you can mix healing potions and practise Love & Protection Spells or you can make contact with the great actress Louise Dumont during a spirit conjuration or you can pluck up all your courage and visit the old janitor's apartment of the TMD. Where do the traces of blood come from? Who knows...

Halloween is also a party. With disco and funk with DJ Crash, guests can celebrate themselves and, above all, their outfits.

The dress codes for "Pink Palace presents Pink Halloween" are Sexy Pumpkin and Hot Tie-dye. Because what feels more spiritual than tie-dye? Guests at "Pink Halloween" can prove that tie-dye outfits can also be attractive. At midnight, trophies will be awarded for the best outfits.

The museum café PING will provide you with drinks.

Pink Palace?

With the loose Pink Palace program series, the TMD has regularly opened up to queer pop culture since 2022. The exhibitions often form the starting point for topics that are viewed from a queer perspective.
