Pint of Science 2026 in Düsseldorf - science with beer and a bar stool
Pint of Science is an international science festival that takes research out of the ivory tower - and brings it directly to bars, pubs and cafés. Once a year, scientists from over 500 cities in 28 countries around the world talk about their work in a relaxed atmosphere - personal, understandable and close to real life.
On May 18 and 20, research, laughter and amazement will once again take place in Düsseldorf - in the middle of the pub! Researchers from Heinrich Heine University will leave their institutes and bring their topics directly to the bar.
In a cozy atmosphere, they provide exciting insights into current topics from biology, linguistics and physics. Whether it's plant research, the question of why it's called the pint or soft matter - the talks are entertaining, understandable and make you want to learn more about science in everyday life.
