"You Are More Than A Thousand Words" is the name of plainhead's new album. Spirals of decaying samples, guitars and clarinets form the perfect soundtrack for windy summer days and bright nights. And for those moments when the wind gives you a clear head again. It loops and "notwists" noticeably. Because plainhead also have a flair for fine sound design. Rhythms stumble, words return like half-remembered thoughts. plainhead draw an endless sketch of the night sky and the air that moves through it. This small romantic gesture to the stars and to people moves elastically between solo and a collective band project and is - free of expectations - dedicated to collective feeling. This fits in with the DIY scene and her self-founded label new basement. For several years now, new music ideas have been brought to Munich here and a connection between pop and experimental rock has been established and cultivated in an interdisciplinary way.
