BBC Studios and FKP Scorpio are delighted to announce that "PLANET EARTH III - LIVE IN CONCERT" will thrill audiences in September and October 2024.
Following the critically acclaimed and successful 'Live in Concert' tours of Our Blue Planet II and Planet Earth II, the highly anticipated 'PLANET EARTH III - LIVE IN CONCERT' production will present stunning footage from the latest sensational television series produced by BBC Studios' multi-award winning Natural History Unit. Specially selected footage will be shown in 4K Ultra HD on a giant LED screen, accompanied by the remarkable music of Oscar-winner Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and Sara Barone for Bleeding Fingers Music, performed live by the fabulous The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
For the music to the series, Hans Zimmer and his team at Bleeding Fingers Music also collaborated with Brit Award-winning and Grammy-nominated band Bastille, while the prequel track was created with Mercury Prize-nominated singer-songwriter RAYE.
Hans Zimmer commented: "It's always an honor for me to compose the music for the BBC's natural history series, because there are no more epic stories than those that take place every day in our planet's ecosystem. With Planet Earth III, another privilege is being able to bring in the incredible world-class talents of Bastille and RAYE to create both a wonderful soundscape for the series and a beautiful, poignant prequel track."
This ultimate concert experience will take audiences to every corner of the globe, into deserts and grasslands, through forests, along coastlines and into the depths of the oceans - with extraordinary stories of animal drama that are thrilling, funny and sometimes heartbreaking. As always, nature provides surprises, and PLANET EARTH III - LIVE IN CONCERT shows the extraordinary ways in which animals are adapting to meet the new challenges they face in this pivotal time in history in which humans play a central role.
