POLA wants to save the “Plitsch Platsch” outdoor pool from closing so her best friend will come back. Her friend’s parents, who ran the café there, moved away when the pool closed. But her friend doesn’t come back, and Pola learns to let go of the past and stand up for a greater cause. In the end, she has not only won the fight to save the pool but also made new friends.

POLA’s (11) best and only friend is POLLY (11). They feel right at home at the local “Plitsch Platsch” outdoor pool, where Polly’s parents run a café. But when the local council closes the pool to save money, Polly’s family moves away. Suddenly, Pola is alone. She can’t accept that Polly is gone for good and wants to save the pool so that Polly and her parents will return. To do this, she asks her clever new classmate ROSALIE (11) for help, and Rosalie sees this as her chance to become Pola’s friend. Brave and creative, the unlikely duo devises a rescue plan that even convinces the MAYOR, Jelena Petrovic-Stucki (42).
