The documentary “Poetry of the Underground” by Matthias Aberle paints a multifaceted portrait of the artistic subculture in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood from the 1970s to the 1990s. The film tells the stories of female artists, musicians, and writers who created their own spaces for art and freedom outside the official culture of the GDR.
Following the screening, there will be a discussion with the director and author.
