Poetry & Hip-Hop brings together spoken word artists/poets and hip-hop artists such as MCs, beatboxers and DJs to give free rein to their creativity.
The event series combines two genres that are actually not so dissimilar.
It provides a creative platform for local and sometimes international artists who are anchored in hip hop culture.
In contrast to a normal poetry slam, the artists are not competing against each other, but instead it is all about togetherness and artistic exchange.
