For months, poets from across the German-speaking world battled it out for victory at the Zeise Poetry Slam hosted by Kampf der Künste, building palaces of thought only to tear them down again with empty phrases, throwing punchlines left and right, and rhyming as if there were no tomorrow. All of this just to secure a spot in the grand annual finale at the Schauspielhaus! Because alongside the best texts, the most beautiful rhymes, and the zaniest jokes, it’s not just the spoken word that takes center stage—the winner of the Poetry Slam Final will take home trophies and the title of Kampf der Künste Annual Champion 2026.
So it’s not just about cheers, excitement, and fun—this is about fame and glory.
