Poetry Slam Kids

Duration: 1 1/2 hours | no break | for 2nd-4th grade

How unfair is it that only the books decide which stories are in them? And how mean that we then have to do the work and read them? Wouldn't it be cool if someone always read aloud? And we could decide for ourselves which stories we wanted to hear?

That's the case with poetry slams! There are stories that have been written especially for you - and are performed especially for you. And YOU get to decide which stories are the best!

If you enjoy funny words and stories, then come to the Musikalische Komödie with your class! Four of the best German poetry slammers will compete against each other - and you decide who wins. It will be loud and quiet, exciting and funny, there will be rhyming, shouting, whispering - and it will all be pretty crazy anyway. Why has a horse recently taken up residence in Lisa's apartment? Who stole all the letters from the poem? And in which country do farts smell like flower meadows?

If you want to find out, then come to the "Poetry Slam Kids". Oh, and teachers can come too - but only if they don't get on your nerves.

The Musikalische Komödie recommends the poetry slam for children in grades 2-4.
