Atefe Asadi und Daniela Dröscher: „Nun ist es geschehen, das Unvorstellbare“

AuthorsAtefe AsadiandDaniela Dröscherwill speak at the Leipzig Literature Institute about their first meeting, their collaboration as part of the“Weiter Schreiben” program, the texts and dreams that emerged from it—and about their newly published collection*Schreiben ist Nacht*(SUKULTUR). In the literary letters collected in this volume, they explore the night as a sanctuary, a place of inspiration, and a space for political resistance.

The event will be held in German. Free admission.

Atefe Asadi: Atefe Asadi is an Iranian poet, writer, and activist in the Iranian underground literary scene. She came to Germany in 2022 on the Hannah Arendt Fellowship. Her debut novel is currently being translated into German bySarah Rauchfuß.

Daniela Dröscher:is a German-language author and has been honored with, among other awards, the Anna Seghers Prize, a working grant from the German Literature Fund, and the Robert Gernhardt Prize (2017). Her novel *Lügen über meine Mutter* (2022) was shortlisted for the German Book Prize and will soon be adapted for the big screen.
