Polarstern Isar CleanUp – gemeinsam anpacken

Having a good time with friends, doing something good together and relaxing in a deckchair on the cultural beach with a delicious drink at the end? That's the Isar CleanUp from Polarstern Energie. Every summer, the Munich-based green energy supplier organizes a big CleanUp in which many volunteers clear the Isar of garbage, butts and bottle caps.

In 2026, the Polarstern Isar CleanUp starts under the Reichenbachbrücke bridge and ends at the Kulturstrand on the Ludwigsbrücke bridge. All the info.

This is how the Polarstern Isar CleanUp works.

Date: Friday, July 3, 2026.

• 2 p.m. Meeting point below the Reichenbach Bridge in Munich and free distribution of gloves, garbage bags, drinks etc.
• 2 pm to approx. 4 pm Isar CleanUp to the cultural beach at the Ludwigsbrücke bridge
• from 4 pm get-together at the Kulturstrand with further activities about environmental pollution, microplastics and health risks

Important: Only cash payment is possible at the cultural beach, no card payment. The Polarstern Isar CleanUp takes place in all weathers, so please remember to bring sun protection or rainwear and wellies. But we order good weather, word of honor ✌️
