The gene-modified indie rock from Munich

Popcorn Molecule impresses with a good dose of self-irony, energetic shows and recognizable vocals. In 2026, the four guys place particular emphasis on writing new tracks that offer something for all tastes thanks to their diverse pop and alternative influences. They kicked off the year with the release of their first music video for their new single "The Worst", a videographic homage to the whimsical life, and a constant reminder not to take yourself too seriously.

Short biography:

Founded in Eichstätt in 2020, initially as a nameless wedding band, Popcorn Molecule quickly developed into an act to be taken seriously on the regional indie scene. With their debut track "Don't Let Yourself Down" in 2022, they made their first exclamation mark - over 4,000 Spotify streams in the first four weeks showed that they were creating something with substance.

Further releases followed, culminating in the release of their first EP "RECIPE" in April 2024. Popcorn Molecule is now based in Munich and has since been a regular fixture on student, municipal and other stable stages and festivals in Bavaria. With energetic shows in impressive venues such as the Theatron in the Olympiapark or in front of the Siegestor, they have established themselves this year as a live band with a likeable character. Support gigs for acts such as Black Foxxes and Brew Berrymore underline their steadily growing relevance in the indie and alternative scene.
