Popcorn Molecule

Four scientists in search of the perfect chemical composition of corn and a flavor of your choice. When the boys aren't busy saving the world with a movie snack, they're cranking the amps to 11 for genetically modified indie/pop rock in their secret lab. But this heroic troupe is always ready when needed - whether for energetic, catchy music or a tasty bag of popcorn.

Founded in Eichstätt in 2020, initially as a nameless wedding band, Popcorn Molecule quickly developed into a serious act on the southern German indie scene. With their debut track "Don't Let Yourself Down", they made their first mark in 2022 - over 4,000 Spotify streams in the first four weeks showed that they were creating something with substance.

After a personnel realignment on drums, the band grew to its current strength in 2023. Further releases followed, culminating in the release of their first EP "RECIPE" in April 2024. Since then, Popcorn Molecule has been a regular fixture on student stages and festivals in Bavaria - and, since 2025 at the latest, a permanent fixture on the regional live scene.

With energetic shows on renowned stages such as the Theatron in Munich's Olympiapark and the Siegestor at the IAA Mobility, they have impressively established themselves as a live band this year. Support gigs for acts such as Black Foxxes and (soon) Brew Berrymore underline their steadily growing relevance in the indie and alternative scene.
