Theresa Stroetges returns with her fifth solo release as Golden Diskó Ship, working more than ever with influences from club culture, advanced electronic music and pop. Over the past 15 years, the Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist has used the Golden Diskó Ship project as a vehicle to traverse a variety of genres, navigating around all conventions. Now, with Oval Sun Patch, Stroetges is once again venturing into uncharted waters with perhaps her catchiest album to date. It is beat-driven, playful, atmospheric and full of anthemic passages.
