POTT SEI DANK - Open Air

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

THANKS TO POTT

You make it possible!

We have great news: Pott sei Dank can take place, and we’re really looking forward to spending a wonderful summer evening with you on July 18, 2026, here at the Ringlokschuppen. The donations collected so far—and all those received from now until the festival weekend—will be used to fund this community edition of the festival.

The lineup is set!

With your donations, we can invite three acts from Mülheim and Essen who will get the party started and delight music lovers on July 18! Thank you very much to everyone who has already donated—the crowdfunding campaign is still active, and every additional donation goes toward the festival. Be there on July 18 and bring your family and friends!

Bands

PATRICK JURJAHN—known for his experimental musicality

Live, Patrick spontaneously and unexpectedly creates harmonious, rhythmic parallel worlds out of obscurely beautiful overtones, undertones, and harmonics. An improvisation featuring the didgeridoo, overtone flutes, overtone singing, and percussion.

JONPRIML - Jazz from Essen, direct and unpretentious

The quintet from Essen blends modern jazz with urban energy—accessible, multifaceted, and always with a dash of Ruhr Valley charm. The band combines technical finesse with a deep joy of playing that unfolds just as vividly live as it does on record. Live, JONPRIML captivates with an intense presence: sometimes instrumental and powerful, sometimes featuring vocals and freestyle elements—always honest, always authentic. Not a staged show, but a musical conversation that’s constantly evolving. JONPRIML stands for a new kind of jazz that knows no blinders but seeks connection—both musically and personally. A sound that lives, rather than merely functioning.

CULTURE POOL – Diverse Progressive World Rock Fusion

With great vitality and a joy for playing, the nine musicians based in Essen combine influences from different cultural backgrounds in their original compositions—primarily in Spanish and English.  Get ready for an energetic, groovy, and versatile progressive world rock fusion that’s perfect for dancing and having fun!

CULTURE POOL presents exclusively original compositions, blending traditional influences from a wide variety of cultures with Western-style rock, pop, funk, and soul. The band combines vocal parts in various languages—mainly Spanish and English—and the musicians are always open to new experiments.

The band’s particular strength lies in its high-energy live performances, which are full of vitality and spontaneity.

Supporting Program

Local businesses provide a varied supporting program that underscores the neighborhood-oriented character of the new concept. In addition to the musical highlights, visitors to POTT SEI DANK can browse through the carefully curated record bins from Plattenjunks , enjoy vegetarian specialties at the Restaurant Ronja stand, savor a cappuccino at the Pottschwarz coffee truck, browse through books from the Bücherträume bookstore’s reading table on the lawn behind the turntable, or discover a new favorite piece of clothing among the vintage treasures at Lumpenjunge .
