In the organizer's words:
The film follows trans teenager Karla in the small town of Tepoztlán in Mexico over a period of eight years. As Karla masters her gender reassignment and transition into adulthood, a touching portrait emerges that shows the challenges and joys of a trans identity in rural areas.
Through intimate and candid conversations with filmmaker Kani Lapuerta, a narrative world emerges in which friendship, self-determination and hope take center stage and reality merges with fantasy.
