Fascinating, energetic and hypnotic! A free-spirited trio with a chamber music line-up that instinctively awakens dance impulses and transports the listener into a trance-like sound space. A pianist who incessantly hammers, taps and plucks on the grand piano. A clarinettist who plays more bass than clarinet in the depths of his bass clarinet. And a drummer who keeps going like a good record, constantly spinning the grooves in circles.

Three Munich jazz musicians, united in their contrasts. Where one, Chris Gall, plays Argentinian tango with Quadro Nuevo, the other, Florian Riedl, plays "folklore-free folk music" with Dreiviertelblut and the third, Simon Popp (as a replacement for Chris Holzhauser, who is currently on tour with Moop Mama), plays pulsating rhythms with Fazer, in their new project Pre.pared they combine cyclical motifs and cleverly layered patterns in minimalist but highly virtuoso compositions to create a fascinating synthesis of the arts. It's as if Jonny Greenwood, Dawn of Midi, Nik Bärtsch and Steve Reich had been lumped together.
