The new concert series PRESENT TENSE presents artists who carry the original idea of jazz into sub- and pop-cultural genres. Driven by an unbridled desire for improvisation and interaction on the one hand, many of these artists are at the same time inspired by a turn to decisive milestones in their personal musical socialization, which often enough lie in electronic music, punk, post-rock or hip-hop.

THREE AND A HALF

Nate Carruthers + Óscar Mosquera + Edi May + Edi's feet = Three and a Half. This international collective not only brings an unconventional line-up with drums, electric guitar, saxophone and synth bass, but also their unique new sound. With a mixture of jazz, rock and free-improvised music, the trio promises an interesting sound spectrum and lots of energy on stage. Be ready, Three and a Half delivers NOISE!
