How can a documented photograph become a place of fiction? And how can history persist through the act of framing and forgetting? With his presentation "Feathering the Fact", Augustine Paredes (artist of the current FFF exhibition NEW BEGINNINGS) invites us to reflect on photography as a mediator of truth. Using images, texts and archive documents from Mindanao during the time of the Pacific War, his work examines how history is created between documentation and imagination.
The event is part of the current group exhibition "NEW BEGINNINGS" with Filipino photographic art.
