Time travel to the heartland of electronic music: a journey through the history of electronic music from Cologne - from the 1950s to the present day. The film traces the roots of the invention of new music from WDR's Electronic Studio, Stockhausen, CAN, Kompakt, A-Musik to the lively and diverse club scene of today. With artists such as Irmin Schmidt, Jaki Liebezeit and Holger Czukay from CAN, Mouse on Mars, Gregor Schwellenbach, Niobe, Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer, Barnt, Lena Willickens, Fr. Reichert - a mesmerizing portrait of a city where everyone is somehow connected: Direct lines of inspiration can be drawn across several decades and different music scenes are indeed closely connected through influential clubs, labels and record stores.
