Preview of the Italian documentary LAGUNARIA with director Giovanni Pellegrini. The event is being held in cooperation with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Munich.

About the film: A voice from a distant future tells of a vanished city that was once one of the most famous in the world: Venice. Amidst legends, rituals and hearsay, the narrator describes its daily life, which consists of boats, and its deep relationship with the lagoon that surrounds it. Did this city ever exist? Was it ever inhabited, or was it a tourist park? Did it survive the floods and plagues? Did its inhabitants manage to find a new way of living together? The result is a story of a unique and fragile city that speaks of every city in the world in a certain way.
