In the organizer's words:

--- English version below ---

On September 12, 2026—one week before the Berlin election—we’ll converge on the Rotes Rathaus from all districts in a star-shaped formation. Seven themed protest marches will unite the struggles and demands of Berlin’s civil society into a single message:

It’s time for change!

The protest marches cover the full spectrum of our activism—from climate protection to social justice and the mobility transition, to anti-racism, feminism, and the protection of democracy. Together, we’re taking a stand against division and for a city built on solidarity and openness to the world.

The Purple Ride shuttle’s motto is: Time for a change—Safe streets for everyone, including FLINTA*s!

Mobility is political—it reflects patriarchal power structures. Transportation and urban planning determine who can move safely, visibly, and autonomously in public spaces. The mobility realities of FLINTA* people have long been ignored. A just transportation transition requires a holistic, feminist perspective. We want to move away from a car-centric infrastructure toward a just mobility policy that serves everyone—especially cyclists and pedestrians. Sexist hostility and inadequate infrastructure highlight how urgently protection, visibility, and safety are needed.

Unlike usual Purple Ride events, this ride is not only for all FLINTA*—women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans, and agender people (AFAB & AMAB)—but this time also for queer men (starting at the Großer Stern; on other feeder routes, everyone else is welcome to join as well). Let’s get on our bikes together for equality, diversity, and a feminist future!

Feel free to wear purple and decorate your bikes with posters to spread our messages throughout the city.

We’re still looking for marshals—if you’re interested, feel free to message us at @purplerideberlin on Instagram!

Time to turn things around!

The marches cover the full spectrum of our advocacy—from climate protection, social justice, and the transportation transition to anti-racism, feminism, and the protection of democracy. Together, we are sending a strong signal against division and for a city built on solidarity and open-mindedness.

The Purple Ride feeder ride is taking place under the motto: Time to turn things around—safe streets for everyone, including FLINTA*s!

Mobility is political—it reflects patriarchal power structures. Transportation and urban planning determine who can move through public space safely, visibly, and autonomously. The mobility realities of FLINTA* people have long been ignored. A just transportation transition requires a holistic, feminist perspective. We want to move away from car-centered infrastructure toward a fair mobility policy that works for everyone—especially cyclists and pedestrians. Sexist harassment and inadequate infrastructure highlight the urgent need for protection, visibility, and safety.

Unlike the Purple Ride’s usual format, this ride is not only open to all FLINTA* people—women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans, and agender people (AFAB & AMAB)—but this time also to queer men. Starting at the Großer Stern and at the other feeder rides, everyone else is welcome to join as well. Let’s get on our bikes together—for equality, diversity, and a feminist future!
