Experience St. Pauli differently - with Christiane, queer activist and real neighborhood connoisseur
Christiane has been a queer activist in Hamburg for over 20 years. The 58-year-old Hamburg native not only knows St. Pauli from the outside, but has personally experienced and accompanied the queer scene for decades. For 7 years, she has been leading her tour "Queer through St. Pauli" through the Hamburg neighborhood - respectful, authentic and with many stories that you won't find in any travel guide.
Together with Christiane, you will discover the queer side of the Reeperbahn: queer bars, travesty shows and trans, gay and lesbian history are just as much a part of the tour as surprising places off the beaten track. You will gain insights into St. Pauli's queer past and present, take a look behind the red light scenes and hear personal anecdotes about a district that is far more than just a mainstream party mile.
