Rainer von Vielen mit "Alles mit Allem" Akustik-Konzert

The Allgäu showcase band Rainer von Vielen with namesake Rainer (vocals, lyrics, accordion and harmonica), Mitsch Oko (guitar and vocals), Dan le Tard (bass, double bass and vocals) and Jürgen Schlachter (drums) are on the road for a big tour in the wake of the releases of their first live acoustic album ALLES MIT ALLEM.

The four musicians adapt the subtleties of their own songs, transforming the band's body of work into an opus of serious music. This is how punk hits become poetic ballads. With their unplugged versions, the band dissolves the usual structure and does without computers and electric guitars. They expand the instrumentation with harmonica, double bass and accordion, creating small chamber music pop symphonies. These meet the emotional dance songs of the band - an evening of concerts with a sustained beginning and a furious end.

At the center of the concert, however, are the lyrics on a continuum between Brechtian revolutionary poetry and pop-relevant stadium anthems. Previously unreleased pieces meet new versions of old Rainer von Vielen classics. GEGEN VERFÜHRUNG, for example, is even a poem by Bertolt Brecht: with official permission from the Suhrkamp publishing house, the band was allowed to set the playwright's work to music.

The ALLES MIT ALLEM tour is a deliberate counterpoint to the band's electronically interwoven concerts - a reduction to the essentials: Melody, sound and word.
