In "Das Haar in der Sippe" it was the lowlands of family life, now Stefani Kunkel's new solo program deals with a topic we are all very familiar with: Love.

In fairy tales, it all seems so simple. The couples live happily ever after. But is love really so fairytale-like?

Author Alexandra Maxeiner had the idea of letting Grimm's fairytale characters have their say after a few years of relationships. Together with Steffi Kunkel, she wrote the Rapunzel Report, in which Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Cinderella report on their everyday relationships, which don't always seem all that rosy.

The usual versatile Steffi Kunkel slips into these fairytale roles, as well as appearing as Claudia or Hilde from Bornheim. They are all very different women, but they have one thing in common: problems with the guys. Or as Claudia puts it so beautifully: "Just like on cigarette packets, the dangers of love should actually also be pointed out at registry offices. Of course, there are also cases of happy marriages. But not all smokers die of lung cancer.

Whether in love with men or dwarves; whether as a fairy tale character or taken from real life - under the direction of Alexandra Maxeiner, Stefani Kunkel shows us the trials, tribulations and fairy tales of love with a satirical eye.
