After their furious European tour in 2025, which every '77 fan will remember, they want to do it again and return to Europe in 2026: Ravagers from Baltimore, Maryland. In a time when "musicality" merely means the quality of auto-tune software or the accuracy of the AI platform, it's a rarity to experience a band like Ravagers. One look is enough to know: This isn't just a band, it's a badass, ruthless gang. Jeans, leather, sunglasses ... exactly the image that made the best New York rock bands of the late 70s into icons. But no, this is not the Lower East Side. This group could only have come from the chaotic, corrupt and crime-ridden birth canal of Baltimore City. Disorderly, but astute. Dangerous, but captivating. You want to belong, but immediately understand the risks and consequences. Here is a band that doesn't smile, but rather snarls. They don't sing, they sneer. They are masters of their craft and play nicely, but never really nicely. They don't entertain their audience, they devour it. For over a decade, guitarist and singer Alex Hagen has been writing the kind of nightmarish yet anthemic punk rock that captivates the youth as much as yesterday's heroes. With a blend of hard rock, 70s punk and stadium guitar riffs - thanks to lead guitarist Matt Gabs (formerly of Fishnet Stalkers/BITERS) - the band vows to obliterate any would-be pest that gets in their way. Ravagers have battled their way through countless US and European tours, sharing the stage with legends like The Damned, Michael Monroe, The Adicts, Fear and Supersuckers, to name a few. The band's two LPs, "Badlands" (2022) and "On the Loose" (2025), combine 70s punk and hard rock with the macabre dark wave sound that Stiv sought in Lords of the New Church. Backed by the rhythm section of Ray Peters and Sam Hariss, Ravagers combine the relentless, nerve-wracking power of Motörhead with the catchy melodies of Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper and Turbonegro.
