How is a really good recording made - and how can you recognize it?
In this practice-oriented workshop with Marta Paccani, we will delve into the world of recording together. The focus is on trying out, listening, comparing and learning - directly from practical examples.
Together we will go through the most important steps of a recording session: From planning and preparation to miking and dealing with room acoustics to selecting the best takes.
We'll talk about live recording versus overdubbing, typical pitfalls - and of course how to avoid them. Here you'll get practical recording knowledge that you can apply directly to your own projects!
In the second part, Marta gives a brief insight and outlook into the world of editing and mixing - and shows how to turn a successful recording into a well-rounded production.
