SKATEBOARD ACTION WITH OUTDOOR POOL FLAIR: RED BULL POOL DROP BRINGS THE SKATE ELITE TO MUNICH'S OLYMPIAPARK

Attention skateboard fans and Munich locals: Red Bull Pool Drop will be the highlight of the MASH action sports festival from August 2 to 4 in Munich's Olympic Park. International and national skate pros such as Leticia Bufoni (BRA) and Jost Arens (GER) will be performing cool tricks at the competition with outdoor pool flair at the Olympic Lake. The skaters drop into a floating skate park that is second to none and offers special features for street and bowl skate specialists. In addition to the typical blue pool color for the park, the challenging cut-outs, through which you end up in the Olympic Lake if you mess up a trick, provide the (un)desired cooling effect. The built-in obstacles are designed in the style of an outdoor pool and water elements and require a wide range of technical expertise. From slides to pool depressions embedded in the lake to diving platforms: Creative skating at every level is required here.

On the specially designed course, a total of 15 men and 10 women, including one wild card per gender, will take on the course on the water. Among them are exceptional talent and local hero Jost Arens as well as the Americans Chris "Cookie" Colbourn, Leo Romero and Roman Pabich. Madars Apse will be competing from Latvia. In addition to the two "Thrasher Skater of the Year" winners, Wes Kremer and Ishod Wair, former Olympian Zion Wright will be showing off his skills.

There will also be some top-class athletes in the women's event: alongside skate legend Leticia Bufoni, Lea Schairer, national coach of the German Olympic skate team, and international pro skaters Aldana Bertran and Zuza Bone will be competing. Two women already have Olympic experience: Margielyn Arda Didal and Lore Bruggeman.

Admission to Red Bull Pool Drop as part of MASH from August 2-4, 2024 is free for all spectators. If you can't make it to Munich, you can watch the Red Bull Pool Drop live on Red Bull TV.
