Two years ago, PLUS for Refugees and its clients launched Refugee Pride for the first time! The event was also an absolute highlight last year and is definitely worth repeating: June 20 is World Refugee Day. The day falls right in the middle of Pride Month—so we’re combining the two and celebrating Refugee Pride!

On Friday, June 26, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, we invite you to a special edition of our monthly Café International at the QZM to celebrate queer refugees and queer people from all over the world.

We’ll open a runway for anyone who wants to walk and showcase their outfits. It doesn’t matter whether you’re defying social norms, wearing clothing that’s culturally significant to you, or just dressing like you do every day (or all of the above). Feel free to send us a message with a music request and let us know if you’d like us to say something specific during your walk. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

We’re inviting you to this special edition of our monthly Café International at QZM on Friday, June 26, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., to celebrate queer refugees and queer people from all over the world.

You might choose to dress in a way that challenges social norms, wear clothes that are culturally significant to you, or simply dress as you do every day (or all of the above).
