In the organizer's words:
Opera, drama, dance
Interdisciplinary charity event
Joint event by opera, drama and dance for the benefit of people with HIV and AIDS The National Theatre presents this year's colorful rainbow benefit event on Thursday, December 4, at 7.30 p.m. in the OPAL foyer. Draqueen Sara Jevo (Sandro Šutalo from the drama ensemble) hosts the dazzling evening with excerpts from the repertoire of opera, drama and dance.
You can expect: Rafael Helbig-Kostka, Yejy Nam, Rommie Rochell, Naomi Schmidt, Patrick Schnicke and soloists from NTM Tanz. On this evening, you can also find out about the current awareness-raising work and the low-threshold HIV testing services in Mannheim and the surrounding area. In cooperation with Benefiz Rhein-Neckar e.V., all proceeds from the evening will be donated to the association, which has been providing voluntary help for people with HIV since 2003. A special highlight of the evening will be the ceremonial signing of the "Fast-Track Cities Paris Declaration" by Lord Mayor Christian Specht. With this step, Mannheim is joining a global initiative launched in 2014 by UNAIDS, UN-Habitat and the City of Paris, among others. The aim of the Fast-Track Cities alliance is to contain HIV and AIDS in urban areas by 2030 - through better prevention, low-threshold testing and treatment services and the reduction of discrimination. Join in, help and look forward to a wonderful evening at OPAL!
