In the organizer's words:

Respektraum - a place for open, respectful debates beyond your own bubble.

A respect space should help to overcome the speechlessness between the bubbles. It should encourage people to defend their respective basic values with arguments and not just with moral indignation. It can convey the experience of being able to talk to each other constructively even when opinions differ strongly. A space for the magic of conversation and the pleasure of exchanging ideas and space for everyone who wants to talk, talk about what holds us together.

The Bellevue di Monaco will be such a space of respect on Thursday, January 8th and Amelie Fried will be moderating a debate where all guests are invited and supported to debate profitably with each other.
You will probably leave the room a little different than when you entered and with a little more confidence that conversations are still possible with the vast majority of people.
