A perfect match once again: for Carnival Sunday, we are inviting two carnival-influenced, Rhenish cheerful characters to the podium, who will eclipse Rheingold's "three-chord dimensions" with some sonorous electronic floor fillers. We are talking about EIK, the DJ duo consisting of Marc and Sophie. Incidentally, the abbreviation stands for "It's complicated". Six years ago, the two of them launched the Römertanz event series in the former Roman provincial capital of Colonia and have already welcomed guests from the Munich collective Team TURBO. Apart from that, Sophie & Marc have already intoxicated almost all Cologne scene hotspots with their beats. They also regularly play well-known clubs throughout Germany, including Ritter Butzke, Birgit & Bier, Sage Beach, Gestrandet Mitte and Beate Uwe in Berlin, Pracht in Frankfurt and the Palais Club in Munich.

One thing is certain for us: we like EIK and are particularly looking forward to their own productions this time. The two have been busy in the studio in 2025, their next career step. Their debut EP "Desert" is characteristic of their style - warm melodies, organic textures and subtle percussions that work both at the golden hour and in peak-time club settings. The "wild" tracks also did really well on the Beatport platform. So let's have a listen! There's also something worth listening to that night from a local representative of the DJ guild, Liederei maker Timo Liederer from the TURBO Tracker stable. He will once again be putting together a fine set that can be located somewhere between tech house, indie dance and melodic techno.
