Walli Wolf is a primary school teacher by conviction, with contradictions, at the limit of her powers. Between overcrowded classes, forms and children who receive too little attention and shoulder too much themselves, she tries to do the right thing every day. But the more she wears herself out, the more she realizes how closely her own life is linked to this place. The school becomes a mirror: of her origins, her fears, her history. What Walli tries to give the children - attention, patience, trust - she has never experienced herself.
