RICARDO MARINELLO - ein Abend mit dem lyrischen Star-Teno

Ricardo Marinello is a young lyric tenor.

He initially studied with the tenor Werner Compes and then with Chao-Li Chen at the music school in Krefeld until 2008, when he continued his classical vocal training at the Robert-Schumann Musikhochschule in Düsseldorf with Prof. Jeanne Piland, Boris Statsenko and Prof. Konrad Jarnot. Master classes with Kammersängerin Christa Ludwig, Kammersänger Peter Schreier, Werner Compes, Tom Krause, Prof. Konrad Jarnot, Prof. Krisztina Laki, Saverio Suarez-Ribaudo and Prof. Charlotte Lehmann rounded off his training. Ricardo has been drawn to music and singing since childhood.

In November 2007, he was just 18 years old and won 1st prize on the RTL show "Das Supertalent". With a lot of willpower, discipline and inner composure, the newly discovered star decides to follow the well-founded, classical path despite all the tempting offers.The young tenor already gained stage experience during his studies in productions at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein: as Don Luigino/Zeferino in the opera "Il viaggio a Reims" by G. Rossini, as Paco in Manuel de Falla's opera "La vida breve", as Tamino and Monostatos in "Die Zauberflöte" by W. A. Mozart, and as a sailor in the baroque opera "Dido and Aeneas" by Henry Purcell.

A busy concert schedule with high-ranking ensembles and colleagues such as the soprano Anna-Maria Kaufmann, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the European Philharmonic Orchestra and others has allowed Ricardo Marinello to gain valuable experience. This includes repeated engagements for gala and charity events in renowned venues such as the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the Gasteig in Munich and the Berlin Philharmonie.

Various awards and prizes followed: Ricardo Marinello won 1st prize at the Festival della Canzone Italiano in New York in 2010 and the Fritz Atzl Workshop Prize in 2012. In 2015, he won the 1st International Song Festival on Lake Zurich. In 2011, Marinello receives a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Society for the Bayreuth Festival. In the same year, the Krefeld/Mönchengladbach Theater engages him for the children's opera production "Die Seejungfrau Rusalka", in which he takes on the role of the Prince.

In addition to his work on the opera and concert stages, Ricardo Marinello also devotes his heart and soul to sacred music: he sings oratorios by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Gounod and Dvorak. In January 2014, he shines as a soloist in a performance of Beethoven's Mass in C major with the Rundfunkchor Berlin under the direction of Simon Halsey in the Berlin Philharmonie
