Ireland, the Emerald Isle, is known for its wild, rugged nature and fun-loving, hospitable inhabitants. Passionate adventurer and photographer Robert Neu wants to find out whether this cliché is really true. So he sets off to travel all the way around Ireland on his bike. As a reward for his efforts on the 3000 km bike trip, he brings back impressive photos of the breathtaking landscapes and a deep insight into the culture of Ireland.

The Wild Atlantic Way, the famous coastal road along the Atlantic, leads past the beautiful Dingle and Beara peninsulas and the legendary Ring of Kerry. On Skellig Michael, landscapes straight out of Star Wars and the cute puffins await. The Aran Islands are characterized by a harsh climate and Stone Age monuments. Robert Neu climbs the mountains of Connemara, goes on a pilgrimage on the day of the national saint St. Patrick and experiences original evenings full of music and conviviality in the country's quaint pubs. The journey takes you around the island from the milder south to the remote north, where time seems to have stood still.
