With a career now spanning six decades, Robyn Hitchcock remains a unique artist - surrealist rock 'n' roller, iconic troubadour, guitarist, poet, painter and performer. An incomparable songwriter and stylist, Hitchcock has traversed many genres with humor, intelligence and originality, with over 30 albums and seemingly countless live performances.

From the proto-psych-punk sounds of his band The Soft Boys and the Dadaist pop of The Egyptians to solo masterpieces such as 1984's landmark "I Often Dream of Trains" and 1990's "Eye," Hitchcock has created an impressively original oeuvre rich with astute observations, biting wit, recurring ocean motifs, mechanized train connections, cheese, Clint Eastwood and countless finely drawn real and imagined characters.
