Bending Time continues the intensive musical exchange between Robyn Schulkowsky and the Teichmann brothers. They interweave percussion, sound objects, live electronics and live sampling to create interactive sound spaces.
The focus is on the exploration of rhythmic relationships, their textures and the question of which parameters can be played spatially and temporally and which actions can be linked. Their performances are physical, sensually immersive. When they met by chance, they knew nothing about each other, neither about Robyn's collaboration with John Cage, Iannis Xenakis and Morton Feldman, nor about the Teichmann brothers' global, transcultural projects in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Kenya or their collaborations with Ensemble Modern or the Staatsoper Berlin. But they were immediately united by their shared curiosity about music, society and equal participation. A dialog that they are now continuing in their music.
