Ron Sexsmith is an Ontario-born Canadian songwriter and three-time Juno Award winner. Since his 1995 self-titled debut album, he has written and released an impressive string of studio albums and original songs. In August 2025, Ron released his eighteenth studio album.

Over the last few decades Ron has played headline shows at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls including Massey Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall in London and the London Palladium.

His melodic music has been described as a blend of Canadian folk icons such as Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen and the sounds of The Kinks, The Beatles and other British Invasion bands of his youth.

His songs have been covered by many well-known artists such as Rod Stewart, kd Lang, Emmylou Harris, Michael Buble, Feist, Elvis Costello and Stevie Nicks.

In 2017 Ron published his first novel "Deer Life, A Fairy Tale" worldwide with Dundurn Press Limited. He has composed an as yet unpublished score with a view to bringing the story to the stage as a musical or making it into a movie.

In 2025, Ron will make his debut as a theater composer with the internationally renowned Stratford Festival production of "As You Like It" in Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

He currently lives in Perth County, Ontario with his wife, piano and record collection and continues to be inspired to compose, record and perform live around the world.
