"Love Cop" is the name of the latest album by the rock funsters (just look at the artwork) Royal Republic from Malmö, which was released in June. After a first listen, we can state that Royal Republic continue to do what they enjoy most: aiming for the feet, marrying 80s pop with 2000s rock, breaking metal and badass rock band attitude with funk, glam, disco, jazz and pop and secretly listening to The Spice Girls and The Backstreet Boys. Nice to have them back. Even better that they're in the mood for a double feature and are performing twice. Doubletrouble! Or in their own words: "They'll rock the shit out of you and make you dance like you've just won the lottery." Well then. If you don't play, you've already lost, to paraphrase Lotto Hessen.
Fucky hell, new support act: The horny Schmutzki - joyful joy! As if there weren't already enough good reasons to spend this Sunday in the cozy Schlachthof. Cheers!
