Visions of Venus - Wallis Bird and SPARK

In the organizer's words:

A wild, feminist ride through music history that is second to none: With "Visions of Venus", Irish singer-songwriter Wallis Bird and the band Spark take their audience through centuries of female composers. Hildegard von Bingen meets Björk, Renaissance sounds by Francesca Caccini meet radio hits by Kate Bush and Tori Amos. Alongside timeless music by Janis Joplin and Clara Schumann are works penned by Wallis Bird. With great feeling, the singer gives a new voice to the numerous female artists before her and thus allows a fresh look at their work. The Spark chamber ensemble - "the classical band", as they call themselves - find their own musical language for this, which effortlessly opens musical doors in all directions.
