Kilimanjaro - Serengeti - the Maasai
Achill Moser (globetrotter, photojournalist), who has traveled 28 deserts on foot and by camel, reports on Africa's magnificent wilderness with his son Aaron (cameraman, photographer). With fascinating photo and film footage, father and son tell of their "safari to heaven".
On foot - and with a donkey caravan - father and son trek through the land of the Maasai; in East Africa they experience breathtaking landscapes (primeval forests, volcanoes, savannahs) and fantastic animal paradises (Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater); they tell of the mysterious Lake Natron, where millions of flamingos live and the "birth of an ocean" becomes visible; of the legendary Gol Mountains, where the Maasai live with their large herds of cattle as they did a hundred years ago; of the Olduvai Gorge, the "cradle of mankind, where human history began with the upright walk - and they report on the ascent to the snow-covered summit of the almost 6000 meter high Kilimanjaro.
Achill Moser will also be presenting his book: "My father, my son and Kilimanjaro - An adventurous journey" (published by dtv-Verlag).
An exciting and touching father-son story full of surprising adventures, unusual encounters and African wisdom that connects three generations - beyond death.
