Ever since their hit "My Type" (2014), the quartet has been known far beyond the borders of the United States. Two years earlier, a/j (vocals, guitar), asharp (guitar), dak (bass) and greg (drums) released their self-recorded debut album "Voyeur". The album ends up in all the trend lists, lands the band a record deal and gets them on the supporting program of Imagine Dragons and Arctic Monkeys.

The EP "My Type" followed in 2014. The eponymous title track becomes an international success and makes it into the charts in Switzerland and the UK. The song now has over 130 million streams on Spotify alone. It became part of the soundtrack for "FIFA 15" and is also known from German television: "My Type" is the theme music for the ARD quiz show "Wer weiß denn sowas?".

With "saintmotelevison", the band released their last longplayer to date in October 2016. Almost a year after its release, Saint Motel transformed the record into the world's first virtual reality album, turning all ten songs into a vivid, visual experience for fans with 360-degree graphics, live recordings and lyric videos.
