The Salons de Musique concert series was founded in 1996 in collaboration with the Institut français and the Musik Podium Stuttgart with the aim of facilitating a cultural exchange between the music lovers of both institutions.
This edition features an evening of songs and ballads by Carl Loewe and poems from Heinrich Heine's "The North Sea", as well as texts by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on the theme of the sea. With Clemens Nicol (narrator), Felix Rathgeber (bass-baritone) and Christian Rohrbach (grand piano).
