By looking at and discussing selected works of art together, we try to open up non-representational art globally: In what ways does Judith Kakon's concrete work Learn to Lay Brick IV (2017) deal with interactions between globalization, society and trade? What levels of meaning emerge when we look at Fred Sandback's minimalist spatial installations through the lens of East Asian aesthetics? What role did the confrontation with indigenous cultures in Mexico play for Josef Albers?
