Between psych rock and Arabic poetry
Ballads, driving rhythms, soaring synthesizers, and the hypnotic voice of Sandy Chamoun: For the opening concert of the “Libanon” festival, the band Sanam transforms the Small Hall into a vibrant indie club from Beirut, where experimental psych and krautrock meet Egyptian musical traditions and Arabic poetry. The six musicians will present their latest album, “Sametou Sawtan – I Heard a Voice.”
