In the organizer's words:

The writer Saša Stanišić will be presenting a showcase of his diverse books and texts and would like to contribute to saving the altonale in conversation with the writer and literary mediator Nefeli Kavouras.

"The altonale belongs to Altona like the pigeons outside the station, like the stoners on the balcony, like the barbecues on the 'Fischi' and the eels on the fish market, like Teutonia 05 and Altona 93, like the overpriced weekly market and the gentrified boutiques and the last brave original kiosks and the kebab at Salman's at midnight, and all the other places and people and things we take for granted in our district, especially the noisy, crooked, broken, often wonderful, but sometimes not. That's why I support the altonale: because without it, Altona wouldn't just have fewer events, it would be less Altona."
